The RED One Camera is one of the hottest digital cinema cameras to come on the market. With its ability to shoot 4K images that
rival the quality of 35mm film, and its expansive options and modularity on set and in post-production the RED One Camera has become a highly sought after and at times complex piece of equipment.
This workshop will walk you through the setup, shooting, and post-production of a
RED One Camera and it's footage, helping you to understand how to get the most out of the camera on set, and in the editing bay.
CHRIS ARMSTRONG BIO:
Chris Armstrong is the founder of the LA based production company Elysian Pictures, and the writer/director of Scenario for Delirium, Dalton's Reward, and Chasing Contentment. With an assortment of productions solely under his name, he has also attained a variety of experience in all aspects of development and production on over 30+ films. He's currently in preproduction on feature film One Small Life.
A RED Camera owner and DIT (Digital Imaging Technician), Chris recently spoke about the RED Camera at Kappa Studios (Burbank CA), home of the RED User Group and headliners Ted Schilowitz (RED Digital Cinema), and David Mullen ASC. He was also the DIT on the first film shot on the RED One Camera to win a film festival, garnering the project a Merit of Artistic Excellence from the RED Digital Cinema Company.
Chris Armstrong, along side actress/wife Jenn Gotzon, were the face of this year's National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference in Las Vegas. NAB is the largest international convention for film, television, and media content and technology. Their faces appeared on billboards and in magazines such as High Def, DV, and POST.

As owner of one of the busiest film houses in Pennsylvania, Max Zug has directed and DP’d hundreds of commercials, industrials, documentaries, shorts, and TV programs. Recent credits include: “Really Big Field Trip: Turkey,” Giant Foods, the Penske Group of Companies, Flim Flam Film’s “When Dancers go Bowling”, among many others. With such a diverse clientele, he has had many interesting encounters directing everyone from Bill Clinton, and Margaret Thatcher to Pongo the orangutan. He’s even recently directed a Geico caveman for an industrial short.
Max’s early television broadcast experience landed him at one of the most respected NBC stations in the country where he was Senior Producer for the daily magazine show, PM Magazine. He covered many national feature stories and celebrity interviews, which led him to his first Emmy nomination. Other awards include: The Golden Keystone Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters, countless Addy Awards, Independent Film Honors, including the top prize in Philadelphia’s 48 Hour Film Project, which went on to compete around the globe. He won the highly coveted EFFIE Award, The North American Agricultural Marketing Association’s Best of Show Award, and appeared on the 25th Anniversary Telly Award compilation reel. Even as a bright, spry college boy, Max won the coveted Rice Award as the top production student in one of the country’s leading film schools, Temple University.

With streaming online video channels and new media players hitting stores everyday, there's never been more outlets available to get your work viewed by the public but how does a writer based outside of Hollywood get those projects to people who can make your stories come alive on the screen?
This workshop will cover the state of the spec script for both short and feature films as well as insights on protecting and marketing your stories to agents and producers.
RICK HANSBERRY'S BIO
Rick Hansberry has written ten spec feature film scripts and more than a dozen shorts, including 'Chemistry' starring Jenn Gotzon and directed by George L. Heredia. Several of Rick's screenplays have won awards or received recognition from notable script competitions like MoviePoet.com, DC Shorts Film Festival and Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. He's currently working on a new mystery feature while gathering financing for his next short film, 'Forever Starts.'
